Arthur A. Roedel, Jr. Golf Classic
The first annual Arthur A. Roedel, Jr. Golf Classic is scheduled for October 17. The tournament is named for the father of Pamela Roedel and Keri Mandell. Pamela Roedel is a partner of the law firm Silverman and Roedel, LLC and Ms. Mandell is a motivational speaker and wellness expert. Ms. Mandell will be hosting the event, which will donate all proceeds to the American Cancer Society in her father’s name.
The goal for the first annual event is $50,000 and will be held at the Forsgate Country Club in Monroe Township. Mr. Roedel passed away on July 3, 2017 from multiple myeloma. He dedicated his life to helping others by fundraising and volunteering. The event is being held on what would have been Mr. Roedel’s 76th birthday.
“Our entire firm is so pleased to have the opportunity to be involved in such a worthy cause,” said Ms. Roedel said. “Our father dedicated his life to fundraising for others, and there is no better way to honor his memory.”
“No one is immune to cancer,” said Ms. Mandell. “It targets the young and the old, the healthy and the sick, the rich and the poor. Every day, a myriad of individuals lose their battle with cancer, and every day, many more are newly diagnosed. A cure for this deadly disease needs to be discovered now and that is where you and I have the opportunity to do our part. Please join us in the fight!”
